I just wanted to write a quick post about rewards! Who doesn't like to reward themselves after they've done something challenging? I submit that everyone does! Honestly, after I have completed something tough, I love to treat myself a little bit. But that doesn't always mean with food every time (but sometimes it does cause... all things in moderation). I LOVE to buy new exercise clothes after I've hit a personal goal- like exercising 5 days a week for a month straight... or completing a half marathon... or getting my mile time down. Know what I mean? In my opinion, it is good for your well-being to reward yourself after you've pushed yourself to new limits. Mentally, it's a good break and I think subconsciously your mind needs to know and learn how to be happy and recognize your accomplishments. This is one treat that I really like to reward myself with (since oranges are kind of expensive), and I know I'm getting good vitamins while I'm drinking this goodness. It's like the easiest thing in the world (you can either juice them on a manual juicer- I've seen them at the thrift store for like 2 bucks! or with an electric juicer... I have THIS one). I love my juice fresh squeezed with plenty of pulp- gotta keep some fiber in there! Juice and exercise clothes are how I like to reward myself... but how do you? What do you do to give yourself a pat on the back? I'd love to hear and get some more ideas on ways to pamper myself :)
